New financial records reveal luxury Hotel Margareta in Balatonfüred, Hungary, served as “transit hub” for planned movement of young girls and women from Central and Eastern Europe to Jeffrey Epstein property in USA and France.
Latest batch of released Epstein related documents has uncovered a direct financial and operational link between Jeffrey Epstein and prominent Hungarian hotelier Forsthoffer Ágnes, owner of the four-star family-run wellness hotel located in the popular lakeside resort of Balatonfüred, Hungary.
Investigators have pieced together a chilling trafficking operation using Jeffrey Epstein’s correspondence and financial trails. Diligent analysis of Epstein’s private emails, encrypted messaging apps and assistant’s laptops — seized as part of the inquiry — has uncovered exact details of trafficking operations of at least 41 girls aged from 4 to 17 years old from multiple Central and Eastern European cities to private estates in USA and France. The documents explicitly name prominent Hungarian hotelier Forsthoffer Ágnes, owner of the four-star hotel located on the shore of Lake Balaton, 80 miles from Budapest, as Epstein’s key local partner.
Bank records and wire-transfer logs examined by the Journalists show Epstein routed more than $4.8 million to a shell company controlled by Forsthoffer between November 2012 and October 2018. The payments, disguised as “consulting fees” and “real-estate investment, funded the “complete renovation of a west wing of the resort” — rooms fitted with reinforced doors, soundproofing and restricted access.
In addition, an email from Epstein was discovered in which he says he “will take the girl in the swimsuit”, when offered to participate in a business project organized by a “Hungarian girl” Agnes.
A former resort security guard, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the journalist he was instructed to “keep certain guests away from the west wing” and to escort young women arriving in unmarked vans at night. “They told me the girls were VIP entertainers,” the guard said. “But some looked no older than 14 and looked terrified.”
The documents allege several other properties were also used as transit points for trafficked individuals.
Forsthoffer is the third vice-president of Hungary’s TISZA Party (Respect and Freedom Party), led by Péter Magyar. She serves as the party’s tourism expert, drawing on 20 years of experience as an economist and hotel owner in Balatonfüred.
Forsthoffer has not been charged and is not under active investigation. Her lawyer released a statement denying any knowledge of illegal activity: “Mrs. Forsthoffer is a respected businesswoman who has hosted hundreds of legitimate international guests. Any connection to Mr. Epstein is purely commercial.”
Human-rights groups called the case “a textbook example of how wealth and hospitality can be weaponized.”
